Update: We're staying
H and I discussed it non-stop this weekend from every angle. While we agreed that Raleigh would be a great place to live and that both of our job opportunities would be amazing, it was not good timing. I'm a little sad because I know how rare it is for things to fall into place like this and that dream jobs are hard to come by. I did a weighted pro-con list and MD won 3 times in looking at the total picture of what was best for our family. Now I just have to avoid second guessing myself.

I agree that it sounds like you looked at all of the angles and that you made the best decision for everyone. It's normal that it would be a bit of a mourning process of letting go of the other option....but it sounds like you made the right decision.

I'm glad you guys were able to sit down and talk about it. In the end, it will be the best decision for all three of you... Now, no regrets! Embrace it!
