You ladies had the GTG to watch Something Borrowed this past weekend right?? How was the movie? I seen a preview last night & thought about you ladies, hope you had fun.

Yes we did. Had a blast and the movie was surprisengly good! It was hilarious, so funny I had tears streaming down my face from laughing so hard.

It was so much fun! So real spoilers below.... just general comments.

The movie itself I have mixed feelings about but I don't think it is the movie's fault. It was much funnier than I anticipated. MUCH funnier... like laughing til you cry. However, there was no depth in any of the characters because a movie is 2 hours and a book is much longer. So they had to make a few changes that I think didn't really make the audience feel what they were supposed to about the situation. It is hard to explain without saying too much. Overall it was entertaining but I am glad I read the book first.

p.s. I love love John K.

p.p.s. The dude who played Dex needs to wax that unibrow before it eats his nose.

I agree!! You get much more involved with the characters in the book compared to the movie. You could tell which people in the theatre hadn't read the book

John K's characters in the movie was just like Jim from The Office. It was GREAT!

I thought Dex was hot in a very unaccessible kind of way.

The movie was funny, we laughed a lot. I did think the characters were all a bit flat, they were clearly more in depth in the book... but again it was only a 2 hour movie.

oh, don't leave until after the credits. There is a bit more to the movie after the credits stop rolling. I will give you a hint....it totally sets it up for a sequel (Something Blue).

I saw it Friday night and I really liked it. Some parts made me uncomfortable/awkward because I could just never imagine being in that situation in the first place. I think it also helps that I haven't read the book since it came out so I remembered the general story line, but not all the details.

I love John K. LOVE. Dex was also hot, but almost in a too-good-to-be-true kind of way.

Oh, and definitely stay til the very very end. My friend and I walked into the theatre as the previous showing was still rolling so we actually saw it beforehand. Otherwise, I would have never stuck around after all those credits.
