This XPed from Decorating and Renovating because I'm curious what you ladies would buy.
We have a little over $500 in gift cards from our wedding and since we're moving soon, we are planning on upgrading some things in our house. So, with the following gift cards, what would you buy?
$200 at Kohls
$150 at Target
$50 at Walmart
$50 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Re: XP: What would you buy?
I know that when we move in July we're planning on buying new things like brooms, mops, and bathroom cleaning supplies. I don't feel the need to move a used plunger/toilet brush.
Maybe this could be a good time to look at replacing things like cups or silverware or buying some extras.
I would get an immersion blender, a new mattress pad, and some new kitchen and bathroom towels.
We got something similar to this with around $150 of gift cards from Target:
Toaster oven. I love ours and not having to heat up the big oven for little things.
New sheets.
Will you need new towel bars/hardware in the new place?
I'm all for new bedding or new pots & pans.
Did you guys finally sign a lease somewhere else?
Oh! A mattress pad is a really good idea. Our mattress is getting old and not as comfortable as it used to be.
Yea, we signed a lease for a place in Southwood. We just couldn't deal with our current complex anymore.
We had planned on buying a house not too long after the wedding, so we were saving everything for when we moved. That fell through, so we've just been holding on to them.
