Ok, inquiring minds need to know, in your MM minivan thread you said that, "people with one child and 2 on the way need a minivan." Are you pregnant?? With twins?! I'm sorry if I'm just starting wild rumors, I've just never heard the desire to one day have 3 kids described that way.
oh, and fwiw, i see nothing wrong w/ you rocking a minivan. to me the only difference between a large cross over (acadia, outlook, traverse, etc) is that exterior looks "cooler" on the suv, but they get worse gas mileage and cost more upfront. Sometimes I wish I would have picked the minivan for the cost savings. If the idea of driving a minivan bothers your dh, and you are ok w/ spending a little more, I will say that I think our outlook is as practical as a minivan (3rd row is actually comfortable, back up camera, power lift gate, etc), but there is a tradeoff like i mentioned.
Re: mollyjean
Holy crap, squash those rumors immediately.
Chalk it up to tired and sunburnt to say something that could be seen as 'pregnant with twins'. I simply meant three total in the future. And by 'future' I meant in the life of the van. Meaning we would have three kids in this vehicle at some point. See what I'm sayin'?
Wow. Yikes!
DH is actually on board now, he's just having a tough time coming to terms with it all
I mean, wife/kids cool. Wife/kids/VAN?! Yep, it's over.

MJ- I know I was a naysayer on your FB post, but they're nice if your going to have more kids. My sister had one for awhile, like right before her and her now ex husband got divorced, they thought they'd have more kids, but he couldn't keep his pants on... anyway..
She was having my dad drive it for awhile, because she got a cheap car. Fast Forward to my parents being out of town, and me wanting to go to a party... Why not drive my sisters awesome mini!
LOL that was fun, pulling up to a field party in a mini, watching people scatter!! Then they realized it was me, and we all rocked the mini, as well as I was able to drive a bunch of drunk teenagers home (FYI- this was like my senior year in high school)
Shoot! I was hoping somebody would join me in the 1 plus 2 category. LOL! Anyway I know a lot of people hate on the minivan but I rarely hear anybody that drives one that has regrets. One day I'd love to have a car that gets almost 40 mpg again (damn Toyota spoiled me) but I know those days are far away and the trade offs you get in the perks of a minivan ease that pain. Once you go there its hard to say no to the space and convenience. And fwiw I don't feel any less cool for driving a minivan but that could just be cause I'm not very cool anyway.
Thanks gals. I'm pretty excited. Nothing says "wild woman" like a cherry red minivan
Awww, haha. Thanks
