Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

scuba certification

While I'm on the boards...

Has anyone gotten their scuba diving certification locally?  It's something I've always wanted to do, and am curious about places and prices that offer it in the area.

  • I got mine in Severna Park at Sea Colony. Jon (the owner and main instructor) it great and has been diving since he could swim, or thats how it seems. DH is currently getting his dive master there. I did a private class so I cant comment on cost, my hope was to get certified before our honey moon but I had a head cold and couldn't do the final dive needed. So I finished up as soon as we got home.

     they do most of the open water dives down in VA in a quarry. The website is:
