Hey Ladies!
Just back from 10 days in the States! First time "home" (to DC... I was in NOLA last month) in over 2yrs. Very cool to see my friends and family! Also, on an exciting note-- got a cool souvenir... we bought a condo! Closing's not 'til late June, but we're pretty psyched. Our first 'home'!

Welcome back! Congrats on the new house, it must be strange to buying a home that you won't get to live in right away! Hopefully it will work out for your nephew to live there, that would simplify things.

The condo's in Arlington, VA (so just across the river from DC). Not sure if we'll be going back to DC-- it's possible, but not a done deal. Even if we don't move back, figure it was a good investment b/c stuff is, comparatively, easy to resell and tends to hold value. Seemed like a pretty liquid real estate market and we know the area (I lived up there for college and through my 20s).
