Help! We need a girl name
We've had a boy name picked out for months, but DH and I can not settle on a girl name. I'm starting to get really frustrated and REALLY tired of flipping through baby name books. We'd prefer something that's not super popular, but nothing that's too "out there" either--we also like names that don't have cutesy nicknames associated with them (can you see why this is difficult? haha). FWIW, my favorite name right now is Emma and DH's was Madelyn until I pointed out the nickname factor.
So....any suggestions?

. Oh, and we're pretty set on Kimberly for the middle name, after my mom and my sister.
Re: Help! We need a girl name
If you just have a boy, you don't have to worry about picking out a girl's name.
I'm a fan of the more traditional names- those aren't super popular anymore, so one of them would be "unique."
Have you used the nymbler baby name wizard? Pretty cool. I typed in Emma and Madelyn and here were some of the suggestions:
Ava, Sophia, Lydia, Emily, Charlotte, Olivia, Adele, Eleanor, Clara, Elizabeth, Lily, Rose
I've tried nymbler but it's been a month or two since I did--I'll give it another look. Thanks for the reminder Lizzy
Caitlyn or Kaitlyn
Catherine or Katherine
Since you like Emma...what about Emmy?
I think this is kind of along the lines of my thinking, too. Maybe because it's a 3 syllable name? What if you used Kimber as a middle name instead of Kimberly? Is that an option? I think Kimber is really cute, but I tend to like names most people don't, so you might not like it at all.
Emma Kimber?
I do love the name Elle (L - not Ellie) and since it's a one syllable name, it works with Kimberly.
Ava, Reagan, Adalyn, Hannah, Brianna, Ryann (pronounced like Ryan), Bryn, Bryna
I don't think the longer middle name is much of an issue until you try to use a first name that end in "ie" or "y". Then it sounds funny having two names with the same ending.
I think Hannah Kimberly is cute, and I think it would sound nice with your last name, too.
I like Emma! Some other suggestions: Maya, Sarah, Diana, Elena, Sophia, Alexis, Meghan, Leah
