Would you be upset?

I ordered flowers for my mom for Mother's Day. Here is the bouquet I ordered:

She received these flowers instead (sorry for the crappy phone pic):

Now, I know that I shouldn't expect the bouquet to look exactly like the picture on the website, but the bouquet she got was completely different. The only thing that was right was the pink roses (and there was a disclaimer saying they might be out of pink roses since there was a shortage due to severe weather, which makes it weird that they were the only thing that turned out right.) The bouquet was supposed to have pink roses, pink carnations, and red matsumoto asters. Instead, she got pink roses, purple-ish calla lillies, purple carnations, and some other flowers that I can't tell what they are. And the vase is completely different.

So anywho, would you be upset?

  • Yup, I would be major upset.
  • Yes--that is nothing like you ordered. I would at least have expected a phone call explaining that the flowers you chose weren't available so you could have been provided other options.

  • I would definitely call and complain.  They should do something to correct that for sure.  Even if they're out of this or that flower, it's not even the correct color scheme.
  • Yes, especially because I think what you ordered is prettier than what to received (not to mention they're nothing alike).
  • The bouquet you ordered and the one she received are way different. I'd call and complain, too. That's just ridiculous.

  • I would call and compain. That is not even close to what you ordered. Now if they would have called you and said what they were out of and you all agreed on something else it would have been different.

  • I agree with PP. I would be upset and would definitely be giving them a call. I would also ask for a refund or a discount.

  • I would be more than upset.  I think the flowers you ordered are much prettier than what was actually sent and flowers are too expensive to not get what you ask for.  I would call and demand a refund. 
  • I'm obviously in the minority here, but no, I wouldn't be upset. They're flowers.
  • That happened to me. I wasn't happy with what they put together (read threw together). I ended up sending the company a picture of what was sent vs. what they displayed on the website. I think they refunded the money and offered coupons but I don't remember. If I were you I would call.

  • I would probably call and ask why the flowers I ordered were not the ones that were delivered. I'm not sure that I would get all that upset, so much, but confused as to why a simple order couldn't be properly fulfilled.

  • I'd be upset. That's a pretty big misrepresentation of what was supposed to be sent.

  • I actually saw a story on the news out here a few weeks ago and they did an experiment and order from severL different companies. I think they order 5-6 arrangements and only one of them was even close to being correct to the website picture. A little shady if you ask me.

  • I am sorry. I hate ordering flowers online, but I have to do it often. I would be upset too. DH sent me flowers back right before our wedding and I never told him this, but they were ugly.  I saw the web page he ordered them from and they were gorgeous, but totally messed up the order.  I think most places try to get out the cheapest way possible.
