Looking through some items last night it seemed like some things need to be replaced. Some of the pillows in our guest bedroom are getting pretty flat and the towels (almost all are from our wedding shower) are getting ratty and worn. Just curious, do you have a certain time span before you start replacing items?
Re: Replacing items (Poll)
Our bathroom and kitchen towels are about four years old. I've been replacing those over the past couple of months.
I bought new master bedroom bedding (duvet, sheets, shams) three years into marriage. We initially had an ivory duvet, and I was tired of keeping the dog off of it.
I probably get new bedding and towels every two years. Everything else, I just replace as it needs to be replaced.
Well, except for socks. I don't wear them that often, but H has to because of uniform. We replace those every like, three months.
I don't have a time frame for when to replace linen-type stuff, just when it gets too old and starts falling apart. I tend to use stuff till it's worn out. I used the towels I got for college for 6 years before we got married, got new towels, and downgraded the old ones to dog towels.
I've actually been using my main pillow since 2003. It's just a cheap one form Target, but it refuses to go flat. All the other pillows I've bought in the meantime went flat within a year or two.
