Selling Our House... SO EXCITED!!!!
We had the real estate guy around to look at our house on Saturday. He has given us a better price than we thought, and he gave us a discount on the fees because he knows me a little bit through my work.
So....we have listed out house, and it should be advertised on the internet in a couple of weeks. AHHH!!! If/when it sells we will have nowhere to live. We haven't decided when we can move to New Zealand now (because of the earthquakes), so might have to rent here for a little while. Either way, no idea what we are going to do next!!! It's so Exciting.
And, the most exciting bit, we are going to use some of the money we make from the house to go to America (that's where you guys live) for a month over Christmas. How cool is that!! So excited.

Congrats and good luck! I'm not on fbook so I couldn't view the content, but I'm sure you guys had the house looking its best so you can get a great price for it! :-)
And yay America haha, there's a lot of wonderful places in this country you can choose to see...I'm biased...but the Bay Area is pretty rockin, not gonna lie!
Seriously tho, where will you guys visit? Lots of places in the U.S. have beauty and cool attractions depending on your taste.
That's exciting news! Good luck on during the house selling process. I don't really know how the market is by you, but here in the states it's not too good overall. I hope that your house sells quickly for a good price!
Have you ever been to America? There are a lot of cool places to visit. I recommend stopping through Maine; it's BEAUTIFUL! If I ever get out of Central IL, I hope I can live there!
The market is pretty good. Although tipped to go down, which is one of the reasons we want to sell now.
DH is a keen skiier, so our trip at this point is involving Aspen, New York (for New Years) and maybe San Francisco. Is that where Alcatraz is?
Yes, Alcatraz is in SF. I recommend booking your trip out to the island well in advance as it's pretty popular to go out there, even for some locals. A lot of people who live here (ahem...me) haven't even been, and some who have tried have found that a day or two ahead doesn't cut it!

Maybe we will just have to go to Alcatraz together. How Romantic!
But first I will cross my fingers that the house sells quickly and for a good price. The better the price, the better the holiday.
