I'm so glad I popped on here today. I meant to ask awhile ago, and kept forgetting until I saw your post below. Who was your photographer in OBX? Do they have a website? Do you recommend him/her?
We are going in August, and I was thinking of having some 1-year shots done of Aisling, as well as maybe some larger family shots, since my whole family will be down for my Dad's 60th- thought that might be nice for him.

Yes, I was really happy with them. The company is Outer Banks Family Portraits http://outerbanksfamilyportraits.com/ or they also go by Outer Banks Productions, which is their wedding portrait business www.outerbanksproductions.com
It is a husband and wife team, but the H is kind of the business guy (and frankly a little annoying - he wanted me to write a review before I even saw the pics!) and the wife did the pics. She was super sweet and so nice. It was kind of windy, so the beach pics weren't working out so great. But she suggested we go to another location with a lighthouse and it was great
The main reason I liked them is because it was one flat rate ($400, I believe - I can check) but that gave you a CD with all the images and all the rights. So you didn't have to order prints or a package from them. We just got the CD and can do whatever we want with the images.
The cd had seriously about 300 images - friend me on FB because I have about 20 of the best ones on there if you want to see them!
