Warning: this may be kinda gross.
I wasn't even sure I was pregnant. I started feeling PMS signs about 2.5 weeks ago - really bloated, feeling fat, always thirsty. That would've been about the right time for PMS to start. Then last week, I started bleeding, but it was brown. I wasn't alarmed, because that has happened before when I start my period. This lasted for 5-6 days. Then today, I started bleeding in earnest. A few hours ago, I passed a rather large slimy mass - larger than the usual stuff that comes out during menstration. That's what freaked me out.
I hadn't experienced any pregnancy symptoms other than the bloatedness. I only would've been maybe 4 weeks along. I don't feel any different. If I see my OB/GYN, will he be able to verify if it was, indeed, a miscarriage?
Re: I think I had a miscarriage (possible TMI)
oh my gosh...i'm so sorry if that's the case!
i will say, my periods have been very different since I had Bennett. I often pass large clots during my period now and i'm not sure why. it's on my list of questions for the OB when I see him next. some are quite large and definitely "slimy masses".
did you have cramping (more than the usual)? i've never miscarried so im' not sure what else to ask.
i hope you're ok!
I talked to the nurse at my ob/gyn office. She said I most likely had a m/c. I'm supposed to take a pregnancy test. Hubs is bringing one home tonight for me. I need to call the office back tomorrow with the result.
I'm feeling fine, which is what seems so odd. I had some slight cramps about an hour before passing the mass, but other than that, I just feel really bloated.
It could be a m/c. If you've been bleeding this long a PG test may not be any help though. I know by day 2 of my m/c I was testing negative. It also could be a really heavy period. I also felt completely normal, just like I was having a normal period, other than being completely devistated and depressed over the m/c that is, probably because it was so early on.
my guess would be yes but what do i know. i'm sorry!
I was going to say that yes, your office can probably take your blood to see if you have the hormones or whatever still in your blood. A pregnancy test should do the same thing, but not as accurately.
Either way, big hugs for you! Hope you continue to feel okay!
