How was everyone's weekend??
I feel like I didn't have one, because I had to work Saturday to proctor the SAT at the school I work in. Hubby helped me catch up on cleaning the house, so that was awesome. I spent a nice day yesterday with my mom, we had a nice day of shopping and then came home to eat. It was such nice weather here...so it was good to be out and about. I didn't get to the gym at all, but I was active all weekend, so that counts right?? haha
Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
Re: happy monday!!
I had a great weekend! On Saturday I spent the day working at home while DH worked on a side project at my parents house. I was a volunteer Photographer at a gala here in KC to raise money and awareness for Juvenile Diabetes - it was fantastic and I networked a lot which is *always* good! Sunday we went to church with my family (DH and I attend a different church, normally) and then took my mom out for lunch. DH and I came home, napped and then I woke up early so I spent some quiet time on the couch crocheting with the dog napping on my legs. We had hoped to ride some trails but they were closed due to being wet from rain earlier in the week...such a let down!
A10 Siggy Challenge: Our Next Vacation Destination: Paris!
Good Morning Ladies!
My weekend was ok. I spent most of Saturday catching up on much needed sleep (didn't get myself out of bed until 2ish). DH and I spent the rest of the day being lazy on the couch (minus the errand to the store for dinner). Sunday, I spent cleaning the house and getting my present to my mom ready. We went over to her house late in the afternoon and had homemade apple pie (first time I made this recipe and it was a major hit!).
Now its time to get back into the swing of the work week. I really would like to take another two days to finish all the cleaning that needs to be done in the house (DH is only good about helping me when I constantly bug him about it and it takes me twice as long now to get the cleaning done). I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
Friday night I went to a choral concert at my old high school. I cried like a baby because the chorus teacher is retiring this year. She was such a wonderful teacher and really made an impression on me.
Saturday I was supposed to have a date with my MOH; however things changed....DH and I started taking cabinet doors down and sanding them to prep for this weekends painting project. We are painting all of the cabinets and walls and dining room that's connected. I am exhausted already.
Yesterday we made a lunch for both our moms. I made rueben mac & cheese (Rachael Ray recipe) and it was delish! Everyone LOVED it. Then we spent the rest of the day relaxing...when we should have been doing more sanding of cabinets. blah!
Happy Monday to you guys also :-))
Mine was kind of "good news"/ "not so good news"...
Saturday, I hung out at home and did a little gardening, as per my plan...the weather was super gorgeous, and I was loving life...and then I decided to order a pizza instead of cooking, which lead to my being up and being sick on the tummy from about 1am on Sunday pretty much until late in the afternoon on Sunday. Mom and I had to raincheck our afternoon plans, after all :-(
Not sure what it was that did me in - pizza and I (especially from Pizza Hut) normally get along, but not so this time. So, while it was a fairly good weekend spent at home, some of it was spent trying to feel better. But the good news is that whatever it was passed, and I was able to get to work today!
My weekend also went by super fast. Saturday morning DH and I dropped my car off at the shop then went to breakfast and ran errands. In the afternoon I went shopping with MIL and 2-SILs. Saturday evening we all went to dinner then DH & I went home.
Sunday we had breakfast with my family for Mother's Day, then went to church. We spent the afternoon enjoying the beautiful weather at DH's aunts house and I got a good sunburn. We decided to stop by my grandmas for a bit on the way home too yet. When we got home, we made a pizza and just hung out.
Ditto the weekend not being long enough!!
Saturday I cooked breakfast and then waited for my parents to stop. After that I went to a few garage sales, cleaned the house, walked the dogs, and got ready to go out for our friend's birthday.
Sunday was a veg day. We went to a pancake breakfast in the morning, then I did a few things around the house, napped for a couple hours, took the dogs for a walk, and worked out. It was nice to have a lazy day for once!
Shmel's Blog
Friday we bought a new lawn mower, worked in the yard then rented a movie (How Do You Know - Reese W, Owen W, Paul R, Jack N). Won't spoil anything but it wsa too long and drawn out. Happy ending but disappointing in the sense that they could've shaved 30 minutes off the plot.
Saturday was a putzy day then went to a jewelry party at SIL house. BIL lives next door to her so DH came wiht me and hung out w/ his brother while I was next door with all the SILs and nieces. Spent more money than planned but had a great time.
Sunday we cleaned out the garage, then I went to church with my mom. We went over there for dinner but she didn't cook. We did the casual leftovers thing because my mom hates going to restaurants on Mother's Day. We'll celebrate it jointly with my birthday on Wednesday.
Hey Ladies!!! Checking in again from Texas.
We got down here Thursday late afternoon, and I had to hurry up and get ready so that we could get to the restaurant and then to my SIL's graduation from college (technically pinning ceremony for Physical Therapy Assistant). Then we went out for a few drinks afterward, at which one of our friends (and a GM from the wedding) joined us.
Friday we went to Six Flags. I loved every second of it. Jeff and Brandi (my SIL) had to almost be forced to go on the one that shoots you up and then drops you straight down (although they both love every other roller coaster???), and I have never heard either of the scream like that...I'm still laughing about it! : )
Saturday was a lazy day until we went to a friend's parents' place for the Mosley fight and food and drinks. Then Sunday I cleaned the house and cooked dinner for my MIL. She was very appreciative!
Loving every second of our vacation, but I'm afraid it is going way too fast! We drive back Sunday.
