anyone else prepping for a garage sale this Summer?
Our townhome association's annual garage sale is this weekend. I really like having them but boy, are they a lot of prep! We've been collecting stuff and going through stuff and taking donations from family. We haven't been able to park in our garage for a week.
Tonight I'm going through some more stuff, tomorrow we're making signs and then Wednesday my DH and I are going to take a break from it all. He has an association board meeting and I'm meeting a friend for 2 for 1 margaritas.
Would you rather host a garage sale or go to garage sales?
What has been your best garage sale purchase?

Re: anyone else prepping for a garage sale this Summer?
My best garage sale purchase was a KA stand mixer. I wanted one badly but didn't have the $300 plus to dish out. I bought it for $100 from a lady who had started a catering company and decided this one wasn't big enough for her business. It now gets weekly use at my house.
I had my first garage sale last year. Yes they are a lot of work and I'll do it differently the next time I have one. I love going to garage sales (especially the neighborhood ones). I'm always on the hunt for kids clothes and love getting good deals.
I wish I had the time.
Instead, I just bring everything to good will.
