Honestly, if you don't like them and don't like being around them, don't be their friends.  It's that simple.  I 'weed' friends out pretty often because friends are just that, people who come and go.  If they aren't making your life better/happier, then you don't need them period.

  • I agree with Xan. It doesn't sound like you like them very much anymore, so don't hang out with them. There's no law that says you have to be friends with the same people for your entire life. Just decline any invitations to hang out, and they'll figure it out.

I agree with Xan. If you're not comfortable with them, and they don't make you happy, then it's time to move on.

I haven't had to reconsider any of my friendships since getting married. I love my group of friends they're just as much a$$holes as I am. I intend to keep it that way,

  • I agree with everyone else... especially if you are embarrassed and don't like their actions. Let's be honest, if you don't like their beliefs - do you really want to be around them?

Since the wedding, I have actually disconnected from my "best friend" and MOH.  Because of her issues and me finally realizing that we are not 12 years old anymore, and I will not DIE without her friendship.  I just didn't want to deal with the drama anymore, and realized that we really have nothing in common any longer, except memories of our days growing up as friends.  So I had to break it off.  And it's been a relief.  And I do think it had a bit to do with finally being married and finally really feeling like I was a grown-up (yes, I'm 34, so?  lol)

  • I think the answer is pretty obvious here..  time to just let them go if they make you that uncomfortable.

I haven't made any changes in my friends since the wedding.  We're all on about the same page, as we've always been, so nothing changed just because I'm a married woman now.

Totally agree with all the other girls, sounds like it is time to re-evaluate your friendship.

We haven't made any "changes" in friends but there are a lot of people that we don't hang out with on a regular basis anymore.
