I have to say goodbye to my best 4 legged friend this Sunday
We have to give our dog away to a new home this weekend. She has become aggressive toward DS1. She bit him once and almost bit him another time. Its probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, because she was our baby. We've had her since she was 5 weeks old, and since we got married. I can't remember life without Holly, but I'm in a position now where we have no choice. I feel like its going to be a while where Dom wants to hug and kiss her and she wants nothing to do with him. I'm going to be a total and complete mess on Sunday. A friend of my mom's is adopting her for us. He has a lot of land and no children. She is going to a home where there are 3 other dogs though, so I'm hoping she gets along with them all, and is happy there. I told her new owner that if things don't work out I'd like to have her back rather than brought to a shelter. I just hope that she doesn't feel abandoned and that we don't love her. :-( Tell me that this will all work out and things will be ok?? Please.

Aw Kelly I am so sorry. It will be hard, but know you are doing what is best for Dom and Owen for that matter. I have a friend who had to do the same thing...it was really hard for her, but she did say it was the best....better do something now than god forbid something horrible happen to the boys.
I will be thinking of you...
(((hugs))) SHe will love to have that yard to run around in and you cam go isit since it is a family friend who is taking her for you. Still sucks though, but it'll be ok
I am so sorry... what a difficult situation. We do not have any children yet, but we do have two dogs that our babies... I fear this when we do have children because the Boxer can be aggressive towards other dogs... never to children, but is always a possibility.
I know I am new to this board and don't know many of you but I will be thinking of you on Sunday and sending much love your way.
