Wine in the Woods

Has anyone gone to Wine in the Woods in Columbia? I'm trying to figure out what you get with your tasting ticket. Do you get unlimited tastes? Or do you get like 4 taste tickets, then you have to buy more if you want more?

I saw that the DD ticket got you 4 non-alcoholic beverages.

We've been trying to get to this event for the last 5 years. I think this is our year!

  • I went a few years ago, so I'm not sure if things have changed. But you pay whatever it is for the ticket and that gets you and pays for your tasting. I don't think you actually have to give them tickets, but it's been like 3 years since I went. If you want more than say 2oz of wine, then you can buy bottles of wine. They also have lots of food, crafts and other things to buy. It's very woody, so unless your stroller has big wheels, you may have some trouble getting around. Also go early, because it gets crazy crowded. Have lots of fun!

  • I love Wine in the Woods!  You pay your entrance fee and get your glass.  You can go to any booth and taste any/all of the wine they have to offer.  There is no limit on the amount of tastes.  You can also buy bottles at any of the booths.  If you want - they will uncork them, and you can drink them right then and there, or you can bring them home with you.

If you have a designated driver, the entrance fee is less.  And, like PP said, they have a lot of food vendors and crafts as well.  If you are planning to make a day/picnic out of it, like many do, get there early and claim you space.  It gets very crowded very quickly.

  • The last time we went it was one fee for all the tastings you wanted. We usually go early, taste and then set out a blanket and buy bottles. Have fun!
  • I love wine in the woods!  Like pp said, your entrance fee is for unlimited tastings.  You could go back for the same wine as many times as you want even.  There are a few wines that they charge to taste- sangria, or really expensive ones, but you don't have to try those.

We usually go around and try everything (and a couple times of our favs!) and then buy a bottle and sit out on a blanket by the stage.  They also have tons of food vendors and some artists booths and other assorted booths.
