After 2 years of dealing with the crappiest phone ever, I can finally upgrade! I've never had a smartphone before, and know nothing about them. All I know is that I would like to be able to download apps. I think I have it narrowed down to these:
They would all cost me under $30, except for the iPhone, which is $200.
If you could let me know what to look for, and if you would recommend any of these (or others). If it helps, I have Verizon.
Re: Help me choose a phone (Please!)
I think the iphone is the way to go, if that's what you're looking for. Otherwise, I can tell you my friends have both the Droid X and Incredible. They love both of them. Sometimes they stick a bit, but no more than the iphone that other friends use. It's the same way if you use a computer too fast and it gets stuck a bit.
I have the DroidX.
Good: For the most part it's a good phone. The screen's great, it takes pretty good pictures. The MP3 player on it is decent. The apps for it are getting better.
Bad: Sometimes when I search for things it freezes. The GPS on it takes forever and freezes too. Which sucks when you are lost and really want to get home.Lately I have also had to do a hard reboot and take the battery out of it.
When I first got it I was like Yeah, I don't need the iphone. Now, I think if I could have had the iphone when I got my droidx it would have gotten the Iphone. I will trade my DroidX in for it when it comes out.
Also vanity wise. I have to have a case for my phone. I am just to nervous that I'll drop it and the offerings for the X are just sad.
Ultimately I wish I had an iphone. I like what it can do more. It also seems to have a more reliable operating system.
iPhone! iPhone! iPhone!
Ha. I love mine. Derek's got a Blackberry and hates it. That's all I've got.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
