Tell us about your weekend
Best part?
Worst?
Awesome thing you ate?
Re: Tell us about your weekend
My best was being home with T. We had a great time together and planned out a bunch of house projects that we want to do. We spent 2 hours at HD, picked out bathroom paint and tile for the kitchen. We also found a hinge for the cabinet doors that we've been trying to find for months and months. We may actually have doors in our kitchen soon! We got so much done and laughed a lot. It was very healing.
Worst was at HD when the cashier smiled warmly and wished me a Happy Mother's Day. I'm not sure what led her to believe I was a mother but I smiled and thanked her. And felt like poop.
We were so busy that we didn't eat a ton, but we made pizza last night that was delicious.
Best Part: Getting a chance to just hang out and relax and read some "Bossypants"
Worst Part: The reason I was home for most of the weekend was because I had tonsillitis and was feeling miserable
Best Thing I ate: I took my mama out to Lark Creek for brunch and we had their delicious eggs benny on pepper scones.
Best Part: My house getting CLEANED by me and the hubs...that and the manicure I had with my Mom
Worse Part: The aforementioned cleaning
Best thing I ate: We made my mom Cooking Light's Cobb Salad pizza last night and it was delish, then for dessert we had an apple tart from the farmer's market. Mmm!
Best - finished painting our master bedroom. Now just need to either decide if I'll take the time to paint the trim white, strip the baseboards or if we'll replace all baseboards in the house since the investors who bought it, decided to paint every wall and baseboard the same color
Then I have a few touch ups to do and only one more bedroom, the hallway and master bath to paint (which the bath won't take long since it's really small).
Worst - it's over. Actually, I think the worst was after being gone for 2 hours, discovering that our dog ended up chewing a small hole in her crate (she had never done this before)..she had been on a 6 mile run with me earlier that day so she threw a huge tantrum.
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
Best: Getting to spend time with SIL, MIL, and our friends this weekend. And I got a new purse!
Worst: Staying at FIL for a night and seeing the condition his dogs are in. Fortunately, one of them got put down today. Poor thing was suffering.
Ate: We took MIL to a restaurant for Mother's Day called Bar Louie that was decent. I had a California Chicken Club Sandwich with bacon, avocado, lettuce, onion, tomato, and pepperjack cheese.
((hugs))
My best: Working out with my sister via video chat. It was goofy and fun, and I loved it.
My worst: I can't think of a worst. I think I had a bit of a headache on Sunday.
Eating: This is kind of boring, but the commissary here finally had quinoa for the first time ever, and it really really excited me. We're very lacking in healthy grains here, so this has opened up a whole new world in cooking!
Best: the loooong Saturday morning walk T, Rustie, and I took to the river Saturday morning, followed by the looooonger nap in the sunshine in our backyard.
Worst: Having to spend a few hours Sunday working.
Awesome eats: I made a pineapple, raspberry, blueberry fruit salad yesterday that was pretty divine.
Best part? Enjoying a beer after my certification test on Friday. The weekend would have been better if the Sharks would have won...either Friday or yesterday.
Worst? dinner with the ILs. Despite being on her best behavior, she was still rude to me. Meh, at least some vino helped.
Awesome thing you ate? OMG, we went to SJ Eats this past weekend and we stuffed ourselves silly. We had tacos, polish sausages w/bacon, pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, ice cream, cupcakes, grilled cheese and some homemade ginger ale a vendor was selling. It.was.to.die.for. We went for both lunch and dinner.
Best: Went to a party on Saturday night--80's dress up. It was awesome. The birthday boy (turning 30) dressed as Richard Simmons. He even had the little jog down. It was HILARIOUS!
Worst: Mother's Day. Just the day itself. My mom and her annoying boyfriend came. I made lunch. I would have liked to spend the day just DH and I going to the movies and hanging out.
Food: Went to my super-fave restaurant on Saturday. Had rabbit rilletes (like a sausage, but softer) with pickled vegetables and the MOST DIVINE DESSERT EVER CREATED BY MAN! Ok, maybe a bit much but it was delish. Chocolate mousse with a chocolate crumb crust with peanut butter caramel sauce, a peanut butter caramel brittle and a little chocolate truffle filled with oozing peanut butter caramel. So. Good.
Best part? spending time with family
Worst? I found out my mom is sick with an intestinal infection that has her in a lot of pain and they're worried about her gall bladder. They're doing a CT Scan tomorrow so any good vibes/prayers would be appreciated.
Awesome thing you ate? We got BBQ food that was good for Mothers' Day but the ice cream cake for dessert was really, really good. It was the fanciest ice cream cake I've ever had (it had chocolate ganache in it).

Best part? It was my birthday on Sunday! I love my birthday, and got to spend it with friends and family. Friday, we went with some friends to a super awesome new church service that our church just launched. After, a bunch of us went out to dinner, and I got some great presents. Saturday, we spent time with my inlaws and my MIL baked me a cake. We watched the Pacquiao fight (yay!) with them, and I opened birthday gifts. Sunday, we became official members of our church (really exciting!) and spent the day at my aunt's house with my grandmother and family for a birthday/mother's day get together. We enjoyed amazing food, and a fun time. Then, Huz and came home and watched movies and ate fro-yo. It was really nice and relaxing weekend except for one thing (see below)
Worst? The Stupid DA. Some dumb DA's assistant kept calling, texting, and harassing Huz all weekend (but mostly on my birthday!) about a stupid trial. But, this week is his pre-planned/ pre-approved vacation, and our only opportunity to spend some time relaxing together for a while. He's been so stressed out from all the crap at work lately, that we planned a nice relaxing week together, and she kept on trying to ruin it by asking him to come in. She was so rude and unprofessional (harassing, cursing, being really underhanded) and it was stressing Huz out. And I feel helpless since I can't do anything to help him. UGH! She is such an awful person. Blech.
Awesome thing you ate? Birthday cake*, barbecue, and Willow Glen Frozen Yogurt's vanilla frozen custard. Delish!
*
and I saved a piece for you!
Best: Spending it in paradise.. going scuba diving and drinking pina coladas on the beach.
Worst: Having the weekend come to an end.
Best thing I ate was probably the fish tacos on Sat night. Yummy.
