Just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all the moms on the board!
Also, I've been noticing on Facebook a lot of grown children (all female) who still call their mother's Mommy. I know it doesn't matter, but it irritates me. Also I have cousins who call their mother by her first name. What do you call your Mom?

It's usually mom, but sometimes it's mommy. I hate when people call their parents by their actual names. It makes me want to slap someone.
I call my mom Mom, and DH calls his mom Mama. I thought it was sooo strange that he called his parents Mama and Papa haha.
I worked with my mother in an office for years through out college, and I had to call her by her real name to be professional. It was one of the hardest things ever.
Agreed

I call my mom all kinds of joke-y things - like Mommy, Me-Maw, Maw, Mum.
I agree with everyone else on calling your mom by her first name...it just sounds weird!

That would be hard! I'd probably just be like, "Excuse me," or "Hey, lady"

Thanks!!
I call my mother mom or ma. I also hate when people call their parents by their first name.
