I have my first doctor's appointment next Tuesday (yay!!!), and I was curious if they will need to take my entire family history again if I already gave the information when I was pregnant with Natalie. Does anyone remember or know what they do?

I have had to with every single pregnancy. Even the ones that were only a few months apart. I go to OBGYN Associates.

I go to Lakeview, but for my second pregnancy they actually did the health history over the phone before my appointment. They asked if anything had changed in my family history and then asked specific questions for my personal history again. Definitely not as extensive as the first time! I think the first time took a good 30 minutes and this time was only 10-15 and that was because we have had some family history come up that needed to be added.

They just essentially review it again, it is pretty short.

I thought it was really fun going back for my 2nd pregnancy- I felt like I knew everyone better and it seemed like they were excited for me to have another baby.

Nope, they had it on file. If we had anything we were concerned about we asked about it just to make sure but there was not the rigorous family history you had at your first appointment with the first pregnancy.
