Do you believe in ghosts? Why or why not?
Re: QOTD #3
I'm not sure. I lean towards not but then again....never say never. I kinda think that they have them in Savannah, GA. There's just too much crazy there!
I know....my answer isn't very logical....humph.
Typically I try to explain everything away but if you were to ask me when I am at home alone and when the dogs are acting really odd I may have a different answer.
ETA Why or why not: Growing up in a family of 'believer's made me one but the older I got the less I 'bought' into the idea.
I do. Seeing is believing, and I believe I've seen one. Being that I was with a family member at the time and she saw the same thing as I did makes me even more of a believer! However I don't believe this means you should think there is a heaven and hell.
ETA: Sorry, I didn't mean to turn this into a philosophical debate on heaven & hell:)
Heather is is a really great question. And here is another one for you..then what are ghosts? How are ghosts possibly different then angels? Could they actually be one in the same, and people not realize it? I am curious because I guess my thought process is that if you believe in ghosts, which not everyone can or has seen, but believes in them, then how do not believe on all of the other unseen beliefs(and I am not talking about the tooth fairy, easter bunny, etc etc) without thinking this could really be a possibilty.
Yes. Also aliens, but I know you didnt ask that :P
Heres a little story if you are bored:
When my sister was like 1-2 and we would play ball with her, if it would roll by the front door, she would not go by it. She would just sit there and stare at it and sometimes wave to the corner by the front door. Then when she got old enough to start to speak, she asked my mom about the man with the scary hand. My mom was like wtf are you talking about? (In her head of course, she didnt say that to my sister). She asked her something along the lines of "what man?" My sister said the man with the green hat. If you've ever had a conversation with a little kid this is pretty typical so my mom didnt think anything of it. Anyway my mom was talking to the neighbor lady across the street and she mentioned it as a funny guess what my 2 year old said to me kind of way. The lady across the street got a weird look on her face and said that the guy who originally lived in our house had really bad artritis in his hand, so much so that he couldnt move it and it was claw shaped and he always wore a green golfers hat.
There you go
Other than that I just think that there is so much stuff that we dont know or cant understand that it is silly to say yes there is a such thing as ghosts or aliens or whatever else.
