I'm pretty sure you were posting about this a few months back, but apologies if it wasn't you.  Weren't you saying you had some go-to baby toy that you give all your friends at baby showers?  Was it Sophie the Giraffe, or something else?  I'm hoping to remember the name of that toy that is supposed to be awesome in the crib for lulling babies to sleep.  A friend's baby shower is on Sunday and I'm finding her registry very un-inspiring Sleep

Re: ***ringy***

  • The Sleep Sheep! I usually get it from Pottery Barn (because there was one close to where I used to live) but I think it's also available at Babies R Us and Amazon. There are a couple of sizes available, the large that I usually get has 4 sounds I think.

I think a few others also mentioned Sophie the Giraffe, every parent I know also loves that one.

    Have fun at the shower!

  • The Sleep Sheep, that's what it was! Perfect, thanks!

And also, do you happen to know what that soothing CD is that everyone raves about?

Sorry for the 20 questions - but I'm guessing you're a little more knowledgeable about baby stuff than I am!

  • Ah I don't know about the CD. But if you know of any good stress-relieving music (you know, like the type they play at spas), that might be a good gift to add. She could use it for baby or even during labour. Our prenatal class instructor played that type of music during our practice labour breathing exercises and it was wonderful.

  • Yeah, if I can't figure it out, I will probably do that. If I do find out which CD it was though, I'll be sure to let you know, because I've heard people swear by it for babies who have a hard time falling asleep.
