Help dress me, please

We have a wedding on Saturday and I'm trying to decide what to wear.  Sorry for the poor pic quality, I was trying to take them myself while cleaning our office.

Dress #1 - I bought maybe 5 years ago and have worn once

Dress #2 - again, I bought maybe 5 years ago and have worn once.  The light colour is a grey/silver.

Dress #3 - I bought a few months ago.  I'm worried it might be too casual and show too much cleavage

Option #4 - go shopping!

Any and all opinions are welcome.  Thanks!

Re: Help dress me, please

  • I love the pattern and colours of #3 but you're right, something about it seems kind of casual. It could look awesome if you have some really fabulous shoes and big earrings though. You'd need to add some glitz, basically.

Otherwise I'd go with #2. It's a little more demure, very cute!

#1 looks too bridesmaidy for my taste.

  • #2, then #3. I'd also stay away from #1 due to the bridesmaid look.

  • I like the red and grey one. The first could be deemed to bridesmaidy.

  • I'd go with 2.  I really like 3, but agree that it has a more casual look to it.

  • I'd do 3 if you have a pashmina or wrap of some kind to go with it, otherwise I vote for 2!
  • I like 2 and 3.

Can you dress 3 up with a lace cami to cover some of the cleavage and a wrap/shaw and some killer accesssories?

As for #1, I had that same dress :)

  • I think you could dress up number 3. I love that dress and its colors.

Otherwise I am going to be the odd ball out and vote number 1. I like it.

  • Dress number 3 actually came with a matching blue half sweater thing.   Hmm...maybe I'll have to try it back on with the sweater and accessories to show you all.

  • I like #2 the best, but both 2 and 3 seem a little day-timey to me.  If it is a day-time wedding, I'd say #2.  If not, I'd probably vote for shopping (although shopping is my personal default choice!)
  • I really like #2, 3 would be my second choice, and I agree with the others the first one looks to much like a bridesmaid dress.

  • I agree with eouellet. Unless you're expecting this to be a fairly casual wedding, I'd go shopping. I like #2 a lot but would be concerned that it's too casual.
