Re: Fun facts and questions

  • What was the best thing that happened to you this weekend?

I had a fun weekend!  We celebrated mother's day on Friday night, hung out with some friends Saturday night (where I also got a yummy german chocolate cupcake!), and with DH's family on Sunday.

What do you consider to the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?

To me, my most valuable thing is my computer and that is mainly because of the pictures on it.  The pictures themselves are the most valuable thing to me.

If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want?

I really want to start my own business and work for myself...I just don't know what kind of business!

Who do you admire the most?

My mom.  She did start her own business and has worked hard to build it up.  Now she is super busy and doesn't have enough spots for everyone! (She's a counselor).  She has just taught me so many important things and I appreciate her even more as each day passes.

  • What was the best thing that happened to you this weekend?  My smaller sized jeans still fit after eating dinner at Fogo de Chao.

What do you consider to the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?

    Child:  dolls.

    Teenager:  tapes (like cassettes).

Now:  engagement ring and a stash of purses.

If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want?  I would love to be a writer.  I enjoyed creative writing so much in high school and college.

Who do you admire the most?  My dad.  He went without a lot of stuff so that we could have most of what we wanted when we were growing up.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books and three people would you take with you? Why?  I'd take any of the Harry Potter books because I so far haven't gotten bored with them.  I would take Bill, my dad and my brother even though I'd probably want to strangle some of them after a few weeks.  How could I not take the three most important people in my life?

  • Fun fact:The first time I rode on a plane it was because I was going skydiving

What was the best thing that happened to you this weekend?

    The mavs game

What do you consider to the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?

    Child: Probably some toy

    Teenage: Pictures

Now: Pictures, I have always been big on pictures and memories.

If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want?

I would love to be a criminal profiler or psychologist, the way a criminals brain works just fascinates me.

Who do you admire the most?

My mom, she has been through a lot in her life and still has a generally positive outlook.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books and three people would you take with you? Why?

  • What do you consider to the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now? When I was a child and teenager, I have no idea. But now, probably have to say my wedding rings. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books and three people would you take with you? Why? I don't really read much, so I probably wouldn't bring any books. I would definitely bring DH, my mom, and I have no idea for the 3rd person. I love my friends, but I don't think there's any that I wouldn't get sick of if we were stuck on an island together. Hahah. I know, that sounds mean.  I think the other two are pretty self explanatory as far as why i would choose them! DH is my everything, and my mom is who I go to for advice! I'd be lost without both of them!

  • Everyone list one fun fact about yourself and answer any or all of the questions below:

Not necessarily a fun fact, but I am late everywhere I go.  I hate that about myself but it just never fails...I'm always late.

What was the best thing that happened to you this weekend?

My best friend from high school drove 6 hours to go out for my birthday.

What do you consider to the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?

Child: a doll one of my mom's friends gave me before she passed away.

Teenager: probably my pager, ha ha!

    Now: Engagement ring and pictures

If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want?

    Teach high school Algebra

Who do you admire the most?

My Nana.  She raised me and my sister and I don't know where we would be without her.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books and three people would you take with you? Why?

I would take magazines because I don't like to read books.  And I would take DH, my sister, and my little brother.

  • Everyone list one fun fact about yourself: I would have to think on this one.

What was the best thing that happened to you this weekend?  When one of my superiors said that my crabby coworker needed "some"- this was at the Bachelorette party.  I got to try an assortment of food this weekend that I've never had before: Zucchini casserole, an Indian cheese dish as well as an Indian dessert.

What do you consider to the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?

Child: my book collection and possibly my teddy bear's.

Teen: my massive magazine and CD collection and possibly my pair of Adidas (I still have them)

Now: My rings and my laptop as it has all of our pictures on it.

Who do you admire the most?

Even though she drives me nuts, my grandmother.  She's been through a lot and has forgiven a lot because she knows it only hurts her if she can't move on.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books and three people would you take with you? Why?

I would take Bill, my dad and my brother even though I'd probably want to strangle some of them after a few weeks.

Which is why I would take my husband, Adelle (so she can entertain us) and Curtis Stone (so he can cook for us even though I've never had anything he's made before).  Books: a boy scouts book or a book on how to survive in the wild, a book filled with a million questions so we wouldn't get bored, a crossword puzzle book.

  • ETA Fun Fact: I'm discovering that I'm partially left-handed.  In college, I took archery, and am left-eye dominant so the instructor made me shoot lefthanded.  Now, I'm taking cake decorating classes, and am WAY better with my left.  Over the weekend, I went to a shooting range and discovered that I'm way better at shooting my pistol lefthanded.  Who knew?!

What was the best thing that happened to you this weekend? Got to spend some good quality time with my mom, dad, sister, and husband all at once

What do you consider to the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?  As a child, my pink blankie.  As a teenager, I have no idea - I can't remember.  Although I still slept with the blankie.  Now, I'm less of a stuff person, but I love our house.  It makes me so happy to play around and fix little things up, and think about our future in it... so I guess that's my most prized thing.

If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want?  Something creative.  And maybe the opportunity to do lots of different creative things.  I'm not too picky haha.  But, it's far from my current job - taxes aren't very creative.  Or rather, they shouldn't be if you're being honest :)

Who do you admire the most?  My mom.  She's amazing, and not just because it's near mother's day.  My husband is a very close second... he is by far the most normal, drama-free, level-headed person in his family, and it's hard to even compare him to them.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books and three people would you take with you? Why?  People - mom, sister, and DH - they're my favorite people in the world.  But shhh, don't tell the rest of my family, because I like them too - I just can hang out endlessly with mom & sister, and DH is obvious haha.  Books - any of the Harry Potters.  I love them... and didn't read them until about a year ago.

Curtis Stone (so he can cook for us even though I've never had anything he's made before).  Books: a boy scouts book or a book on how to survive in the wild, a book filled with a million questions so we wouldn't get bored, a crossword puzzle book.

    I love this answer!

  • What was the best thing that happened to you this weekend? Got to go to the coolest wedding ever!

If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want?  I want to be the chairman of the Federal Reserve.  Totally.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books and three people would you take with you? Why?  I would take DH and that survivor guy Bear Gryllis (sp?).   I want to stay alive and get back to my family and friends, duh.   I would take the 3 biggest books I can find (to build a fire with) to cook the food Bear finds us and stay warm.

  • What was the best thing that happened to you this weekend?  I got to spend a lot of quatlity time with my new in-laws and DH's extended family.  I am so lucky to call them my family now!  They are awesome!

What do you consider to the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?

child:  my "Brownie" bear and pink blanket

    teenager:  My Barbie Doll collection

now:  my wedding rings and pictures

If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want?  possibly scrapbook store owner

Who do you admire the most?  My Nonni, she is my hero.  Absolutely an amazing woman and I can only hope that I've acquired some of her amazing qualities.  She is such a blessing to everyone she meets.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books and three people would you take with you? Why?  The only book I can think of is The Bible, since I don't read much.  Possibly magazines too.  I would take my DH, my mom and my little sister, Lynzie.  They are my constants in my life and I can always count on them no matter what.  I love them and love spending time with them.

  • What was the best thing that happened to you this weekend?  Um... we bought a car.

What do you consider to the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?  As a child/teenager I didn't really have a lot of 'things', but I loved my library card (nerdy, I know).  I would check out TONS of books.  I loved to read.  Now: I keep a memory box of all the important cards, tickets from events I have attended, etc (wedding program, etc.).  It's a box of memories - very valuable in my eyes.

If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want? BL: I have the same fascination with the criminal mind.  My friends think I'm so morbid.  I'm not sure what I would want to be.  I also have to show my nerd card again and say that I think taxes are fun.  :)  There is a lot of 'creative' and legal options to save on taxes.  It just depends on the situation.  (Just my opinion).  I worked in a library during college and I really liked it.  I also have always wanted to be a detective (see fascination with the criminal mind).

Who do you admire the most?  My grandmother.  She raised three kids and helped raise three grandkids.  She's my rock for sure.  She has never stopped believing in me.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books and three people would you take with you? Why?  Hmm.   I don't know.  I also have a love for Harry Potter, so probably three of those books.  The last three.  They are thicker and more of the interesting stuff happens.  :)  I would take my husband, my mom and my grandma.  The three people that matter the most to me.
