Foot Underwear?

Ok I understand these are designed for Dancers, and Yoga ( I actually might like them for that), but do they have to actually LOOK like underwear. And why are they put with the sandles? I was looking for new sandles (ugh I'm beginning to hate this search) and stumbled on these). They are the last pair so make sure you get them fast!
