I remember you posting a couple weeks back about the rag quilt project... well, I'm currently attempting it and thought I'd post a couple pictures of the progress thus far and tell you how it's going.

So far, the most tedious task has been cutting the actual squares, to be honest. It took the most time, but after that, everything has been pretty much a breeze. The "X" does not have to be perfect, but the squares should line up evenly. I used pins to pin the edges before I sewed the X so that the edges stayed pretty even. I also have a little cat that gets into everything so she posed a little delay in trying to organize all of my supplies. Other than that, it seems pretty easy and feels very rewarding when you get a little done.

It was about $150 at wal-mart but is absolutely amazing! It does button holes, sews on buttons, can be used to free hand, has an automatic threader, can sew on zippers, and has numerous stitch designs. It runs really smooth and is pretty easy to figure out. I suggest having someone that is more familiar with a sewing machine help you out the first time because the instructions just look confusing at first until you understand what each thing does. It can be figured out alone though. (I had my mom help)
