So my students are taking their huuuuuge exam tomorrow afternoon. I am so nervous that I'm actually nauseous. They reassured me today that they got this, but I am still over-analyzing everything. "I should have done this differently." "I should have spent more time on this." I am going over every little thing in my head. It's like I'm Monday morning quarterbacking and it's not even Monday yet.
In the end, I am sure they will be fine. They totally rocked it last year and I think this group will do even better. So what am I nervous about?
But, at the end of the day today, I get this nasty email regarding an issue with a parent. Based on a complete misunderstanding on a student and their parent's part. A mountain made from nothing. I know my boss will handle it well and be super supportive, but it just makes me so irritated to even have to address this thing. Especially the day before this exam.
::vomits::
Re: Jittery about work
Don't worry and good luck to you and your class this week. If you guage it by your classes every year tand their scores it sounds like you should be fine.
I'm testing my first grade this week, doing test prep every Friday and have to give them an English test next week. After that I think I might need to start maternity leave 2 weeks early. I'm planning on testing Baby Girl as soon as she exits my womb. lol.
I am sure that your kids will kick butt on their test tomorrow. Of course you are nervous, you have a vested, emotional interest in this! Nothing you can do now, except don't let the kids see how nervous you are, you don't want them picking up on that.
And as for the other matter, so long as you think your boss will handle it fairly, don't worry too much. It is amazing how insane parents can get when they get the wrong information. You have good support on your side, an administration that would kill to keep you, don't sweat that.
I give you a lot of credit...I don't think I could ever be a teacher. For one, I don't have the patience and two, I would probably strangle a parent. lol
Good luck! I'm sure they will do great...especially with a wonderful teacher such as yourself!
