Why do people think it's OK...

To interrupt you while you are about to eat breakfast?A woman who sits on the other side of my area, who clearly can hear everything I do, comes over literally the minute after I pour my cereal and then the milk into my cereal. I'm about to take a bite. All I wanted was the first crunchy bite of my raisin bran. But no. She starts talking. And I give her death stare.I even said in response to her questions, "well I am just getting settled and have not had a chance to look at anything yet, if you give me some time, I will look in a bit."Alas, my cereal was soggy by the time I actually got to eat it.Grrr. Not Ok to interrupt a pregnant hungry-about-to-eat- woman (or anyone, really!) bleh

  • How rude, you need to do the same thing when she goes to eat lunch so it's cold.
  • Ugh! You've had this problem before, right? Do u have an office? If so, lock your door. If not, put up a do not disturb sign ;)

Sadly, no, no office. Not yet at least ;-)

I have had this issue- usually with engineer guys...not clinical nurses. Hmph....!

  • Do not disturb sign is great!  I think that is the super sucky part about cubicles....anyone can just "stop" in.  I would be greatly annoyed by that because I tend to be very distractable and would never get a thing done.
