Tile recs (kitchen backsplash)
So far I've only looked at The Tile Shop. Any other recs? We're probably going to go with a subway tile.

Virginia Tile, Farmington Hills
Bill Stevenson is the owner
Not sure of the name, but the tile place on 19 Mile Rd just west of VanDyke.
We don't want a white - we're thinking something with some color in it. Not too sure, we will have to go to some showrooms and see. Nothing we like at HD, but that is a good idea about cutting bigger tile to scale.
cutting it will only work if the edges of the tile aren't meant to be rounded or beveled. subway tile is usually 3x6 or sometimes 2x6. so if you found some 6x6 or 12x12 you really liked that has "pointy" corners, you could do that. Sure it would be a pain and more work... but tile love is tile love
