The trip started off pretty rocky. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 12:00 on Thursday. Rob and I got to the airport around 10:00-10:15. We got into line because we were checking a bag and because we had to get in line any way because all international travelers had to. The line wasn't very long so I figured we'd get through quickly. Boy was I wrong. At 1130 we were still in line and had hardly moved at all! There was probably 20 other people in line for the same flight who were just as pissed as we were. Apparently all of the international computer terminals in the airport were down (or so that's what they were telling us). I had asked one of the airline employees who was walking back and forth through the line if they were going to hold the plane but he couldn't tell me anything.
At 11:35 they finally began doing manual tickets for the people who were going to be on our flight. At 11:45 Rob and I got to the counter and finally checked our bag. We then ran to security and begged people to let us cut in front of them. A few were nice. Of course TSA decided that they needed to search Rob on this particular trip when he's never been searched in the past.
From there we ran to the gate, which was the farthest gate possible. I ran as hard as I could. Rob later told me that he overheard some lady say "she should not be running!" in reference to me. We got to the gate at probably 12:02 panting our asses off. Luckily the plane was still there. We got on and they shut the doors.
When we got to the Nassau airport we had to wait for our bag to come off the carousel so Rob went and got us each a drink. He got me a styrofoam cup of pineapple juice. As we were passing through Bahamian customs, the customs agent had the audacity to say to me "there better not be alcohol in that drink." I wanted to punch her in the face. What was she going to do? Throw me in jail?
We finally got on our way. The trip was nice but I was extremely uncomfortable the whole time. I've packed on quite a bit of weight and so being in a bathing suit and in dresses was not enjoyable. Not to mention that I'm so freaking pale. The wedding was beautiful. Following the ceremony, which was right on the beach, the hotel staff began passing out glasses of champagne. Before anyone really had time to drink them, we were asked to pose for some group photos a short distance away from our chairs. So everyone sat their glasses on their chairs. We took about 5 mins worth of photos and as we began walking back to our chairs we could see two trashy b!tches, who were on the beach, taking our glasses of champagne off our wedding chairs and back to their beach chairs and start drinking them! I couldn't believe it. Who does that?!?!? Several guests started calling out to them accusing them of stealing, which is exactly what they were doing. They tried to claim that they "didn't know." So a security guard went over and a verbal argument ensued between the guard and the trashy woman.
We went to the Atlantis nearly every night and played roulette and some slots. We ended up breaking even. Our flight was delayed an hour and half on the way home. (of course). All in all it was a good trip though.
Actually Summer, the pics I posted today were from the wedding we attended two weekends ago in Ocean City, MD. I'm still working on the Nassau pics. I'm slow to upload! Thank you for the compliment though.

Good golly Dani what an ordeal! I can't believe that they were not delaying the flight, how ridiculous. If I were you I would have requested a ride to the terminal
Glad the wedding went well except for those weird ladies who thought they could steal champagne.
Dang Dani! Sorry you had to go through all of that! I can't believe they couldn't figure it out to get the line moving. So frustrating.
