Meal planner based on local sales

Has anyone used this?  It's a free meal planner based on grocery store sales in your area.  I think it's only in larger cities though (?)

There was a blurb about it on the news this morning, looks interesting.  I'm sure there are similar sites out there too.

ETA: crap, I don't know why the link won't work; it's foodonthetable.com

  • YES!!!  Funny you should mention this.  My friend has been using it for a long time and just posted something on FB this week about it.  It's only $5 a month and from what I can tell it's pretty sweet.  You can choose which grocery store to base it off of and then it links you to additional coupons and recipes.  I will be signing up this week for sure!

Here is the one I am using: http://e-mealz.com/

Lol, funny!  I'll have to bookmark that one also.  Since Food on the Table is free, I'm going to give it a try first!  I'm not sure it will work with Ben being so picky
  • I have never heard of this, but am certainly willing to give it a try, especially if it's free.  Thank you for sharing!
  • I just played with foodonthetable.com a little bit.  It is not just for bigger cities, I work in a small town and the groceries around here showed up as my default.  I changed them to my home grocery stores.  It looks like a nice tool to use.  I like how you can delete things from the grocery list that you might already have on hand.

  • I am going to have to try this, I am always looking for new things to make but I am too lazy to scour over cookbooks for different ideas. Seems like the perfect thing for the lazy cook I have become!
