I just did a little at home maintenance because of a cruise I am going on this weekend, and MY OH MY! I can't even see down there! I tried using a mirror, didn't help that much. And the worst part, the damn wax was impossible to wash off ! I am pretty sure my underwear is stuck to me right now.

LOL! Yeah, there's a reason I don't do that at home... even not pregnant, you have to be a bit of a contortionist to see everything, and then you also have to get the right angle to actually pull out hair.
Try cooking oil to get the wax off, followed by a toner to get the oil off.

I did buy a kit, one with the strips. It really got a lot of the hair off, I was impressed with the amount I saw on the strip, but then the wax was just getting everywhere and I couldn't get it off!! H was too scared to help me! lol I don't blame him
I use to do this at home, but it's been awhile. After this cruise I think I am just going to let it go down there until the baby is born.
