Book rave

Just finished Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Omg, it was so GOOD! First five-star book of the year. Remember those painful secret crushes we all had in high school? This will completely take you back to them -- in a good way. It's super young adult, so if you don't like YA it's not for you. But oh, I'm feeling so sappy and nostalgic and happy right now.

Re: Book rave

  • Sounds like the opposite of what I just read, College Girl. It will take you back to college crushes and the pain of it all. I also recommend it though.
  • Oh my gosh! I just finished that too! Loved it!

That was also the last YA book I was going to give a chance. I get a lot of my book recs from the book board and haven't been impressed with a few of the YA books that were raved about. I was getting really tired of reading YA. But Anna and the French Kiss was really good.

What other ones have you read? I read Shiver and Linger based on their recommendation and really liked them, though I know some weren't as crazy about them.

  • Will Grayson, Will Grayson

    Stolen

Can't remember the full title of the last, but something with Vera Dietz in it.

I also didn't really care for I am the Messenger, but really liked The Book Thief.

Loved the Hunger Games series though!

  • I haven't read any of those, except for the Hunger Games series, of course. I'm thinking I may try The Book Thief.
