Please recommend an awesome eye doctor
Ladies, I need your help. XN and I have used a chain eye doctor place in the area for many years for our crappy eyesight and have generally been satisfied. The last few visits for both of us, however, have been going downhill in the satisfaction department, and a random extra fee for me yesterday has put me over the edge.
So - we're on the hunt. Who do you trust with your eyesight, and why do you love him/her/them?
Thanks for any advice you have.

Dr. Jim Spears 2860 East Beltline NE ph # 364-8484. My boss and coworker go to him and love him.
I also just went to American's Best on the Beltline near Knapps corner and so far I am impressed and satisfied.
I have very high standards for eye doctors, based on my history and myriad of eye problems. About a year and a half ago, I switched to a new doctor because I wasn't happy with the service that I was receiving from my other doctor.
Based on a recommendation from my ophthalmalogist, I started seeing Dr. Jeff Kenyon at West Michigan Eyecare Associates. I love him. He's extremely knowledgeable and really good to work with.
And believe it or not, he was just recently named Young Optometrist of the Year by the Michigan Optometric Association.
And bonus, I can say from experience that he'll work with you on insurance fees.
