Holy Cow!!

So DH downloaded a Zumba video for me to try..holy crap!!! I wasn't even doing it full out because it was all still new and I was trying to figure out the steps..not to mention feeling totally stupid haha. I forbid DH to watch me do it until I get better at it, but even not doing it full out it totally kicked my butt!!! :D

Anyone else done Zumba? Any tips? haha I feel so cordinationally challenged lol

Re: Holy Cow!!

  • I haven't done it, but I want too. Did he download it for free? If so, where from?? I'd love to do it at home, instead of strangers!

  • i love zumba! i take it at my local gym. Once you get the basic steps down you will be all set to go! It's usually a lot of the same steps just used in different ways and different orders for each song.

my instructor always tells me even if you mess up just keep moving!

  • Last year, I was taking a weekly Zumba class.  I loved it!  It's so much fun...and yea, I felt completely coordinationally challenged too haha.  It was okay while you were in the class with a bunch of other women who couldn't really dance either, but I'd be mortified if my husband watched me haha.  I'd like to take it back up again; it was really great.  Tips?  Ummm....I guess it's not much of a tip, but the dances get easier as you get more practice with them.

  • I go to Zumba classes. Love love love Zumba!! I don't really have any tips but my instructor always says that there are 3 rules, you must have fun, have fun & have fun! And she says it's just Zumba! She said no matter if you forget the steps or are getting tired just to keep moving, just to keep your heart rate up! It does get easier the more you do it =]

  • I go to Zumba class weekly at my gym. I love it!! Our instructor is awesome and makes the class so much fun. Our zumba is a little different, it's Zumba fitness...so it's 1 song zumba then 1 song weights. It's fun because it breaks it up and definitely gives you a killer workout.

Keep up with it - you'll learn the steps quickly and then can just focus on having fun and letting loose! Just make sure you keep moving!
