OMGWTFAHHH! or, Stress Relievers
So, I work at a lovely ad agency in OKC, and 90% of the time, I love my job. I'm a project manager, so I'm responsible for a lot, and have to deal with all sorts of conflicts. It can be pretty stressful. Super stressful for a naturally introverted person such as myself.
I started doing yoga about a month ago, and love it, but the time of the class isn't the most convenient, so some weeks I miss. Does anyone have any other awesome stress relievers I should try?

I think reading is probably my biggest stress reliever (as long as I'm not reading about something that stresses me out =P). It really helps me to put whatever is causing me stress out of my mind for a while.
@kaylee - My gym offers zumba, but I've never tried it. Will have to look into it.
@critti - Reading is (unfortunately) pretty impossible for me to enjoy when I'm stressed. Anytime I sit quietly to do anything, my mind goes in a million different directions, and it's just frustrating. I love to read, but not when my brain is preoccupied. I guess it's different with yoga somehow because I'm forced to focus on the physical movements.
I do the same thing! It's like I'm reading but not actually paying attention to what I'm reading because I keep thinking of other stuff. I also get super duper sleepy everytime I read. After about 15 minutes of reading, I'm ready for a nap! Lol

Drinking.
Lots and lots of drinking.
I used to shop but DH made me stop. So now I just drink!
Whew. Thought I was going to be the only one suggesting alcohol. Thanks, stripes, for blazing that trail for me.
Seriously though, sitting down with a 5 o'clock glass of wine and a magazine before I make dinner helps me unwind and destress. Other days I just grab my dog and we go for a really long walk before dinner. Sometimes, doing fun things on a weeknight helps me forget about work, even though I may be exhausted. It can be as simple as wandering around Target or trying a new restaurant with DH.
Love shopping as a stress reliever, and I did that quite a bit in my single days, but now that I'm married I have to be a little more conservative with my spending.
Drinking, I'm a fan of. I only have two issues with a glass of wine after work: I'm prone to severe headaches/migraines, and sometimes alcohol (even one glass) induces that; wine makes me sleeeeeepy. Maybe *too* much stress relief. Good suggestion, though.
I also like the magazine/celeb gossip/bath idea. I think that may be on the agenda after work today.
Thanks, shladies.
LOL. Lemmetellya, I'm almost there.
@Sunny - Ice cream is one of my go-to stress reliever/bad mood fixers, but it tends to create another problem in my stomach/@ss area, which tends to stress me out more... ><
There's a reason why a portion of my house is always under construction. The more stressed I am at work, the more of a disaster my house is. For some reason, our D&Rs are the biggest stress reliever (sort of) - nothing feels better than putting a nice coat of paint on the walls or caulking a window sill.
And finally, I see a counselor. My job is super stressful and a lot of stuff goes on that I can't even talk to DH about. I only see her individually once a month but it helps me to put things into perspective and keep focused.
Totally agree about the painting, and everyone always thinks I'm crazy. Painting is very therapeutic for me. And it's always awesome to step back and gaze upon at a room with a fresh coat of paint. Such satisfaction.
I was seeing a counselor, mostly to transition into being a stepmom and wife. Had a little bit of a bumpy road there, even though SD and DH are fantastic. It's a big change, and added to an already-stressful career, it was a lot. I stopped going a while ago, b/c I felt like it was unnecessary. I enjoyed talking to her, but I didn't feel like she was telling me anything I didn't already know. It was nice to be able to vent to an impartial person, though.
