Recommend your stick/small vacuum

I'm looking for a small vacuum cleaner we can keep on the main floor, mostly to use on our area rug every other day or so.  (Love the rug, but it's dark brown and everything shows.)  We keep our big vacuum cleaner in the basement, which has carpeting.  I'm too lazy to lug it up and down the stairs every couple of days, but I get tired of looking at the area rug with little bits of whatever showing.  TIA!

Re: Recommend your stick/small vacuum

  • My inlaws have a rechargeable battery operated shark vac.  They use it on their kitchen vinyl flooring and their carpet and it works well.  Sorry I think it is an older model and wasnt able to find a pic or model.

  • We have this Shark

And it sucks.  Not "vacuum sucks" but "really sucks".  I hate it.  Don't get it.

  • I have the rechargable cordless shark & love it.  It's not the same as Rebecca's, probably an older model.  I use it all the time.  Couldn't find a pic, but I'll keep looking.
