I don't like it. Its very trendy right now, and super popular because of Twilight.
I'm not that crazy about it either.
The first thing that came to mind was Twilight.

Like many others, the first thing I thought of was Twilight...but you know what? If you and DH love it then who cares! You guys could come up with a perfect, uncommon name and then when your baby is a year old some big movie could come out with a character that name. You know what I mean? My friend worked so hard to find a creative, unpopular, beautiful name for her dauhter. She is 3 now and has since met 2 other babies with the same name!!
Anyway, I say go for what you guys LOVE!
20 years from now when she is an adult nobody is going to think Twilight when they hear her name.....
And I agree a huge book/movie series can come out two years from now and have a character with the name Cassidy. Hey, my grandfather was John Kennedy before the president was.....
If you love it, don't let a silly book/movie ruin it for you.
(Ane yes, I called Twilight silly!!)
