Hi ladies!
Just thought I'd drop by to say hi! I'm always lurking and post every once in a while!
I previously mentioned about doing daycare for M, well we were planning to start this week and do 2 days. The nanny was understanding and on board to work 2 days this week and next to have an easy transition with going to daycare.
Rewind to Sunday night, get a text at 10pm saying she was at the hospital and didn't know what time she'd be going home and didn't think she could make it. As I mentioned before she has breast cancer and just went through radiation treatment. She's been sick 4 or 5 times since mid Feb. I called daycare center first thing Monday morning and they said no problem she could come Mon & Tues vs the planned Wed & Thurs. Checked in with nanny yesterday and she said she didn't think she could do much of anything....I didn't get a clear answer of that meant Thursday too but I asked. Daycare said it was no problem if we needed to come 4 days this week. Thank goodness we had it set up or I would have burned 4 days of vacation this week! I asked if she was up/available for the 2 days next week but I didn't get a reply yet.
I feel so bad for the nanny and her health issues but I know we made the right choice, my boss would probably not be happy if I was calling in so often due to daycare issues.
M has been doing great so far, and I've popped in on lunch since its only 5 minutes away, she is enjoying being around the other kids too

Thanks ladies!! I know we made the right choice....I feel so bad for the nanny!!
We'll still keep her in mind for a date night if she's up for it
