I need help. I buy shoes for work every 3 months because the stupid rubber heel breaks off or wears down. I really don't like shoes. Are there shoes out there that aren't way over priced that will last.
I have to wear closed toe and prefer black. I basically wear the same pair 5 days a week.
Re: Shoes
What brand are you currently wearing?
IMO, it's not "overpriced" if it's a shoe you can wear daily that will last you for months/years. I'd happily plunk down $100 for a pair of shoes like that.

I usualy shop at Shoe Carnival. I am not against spending $50 to $100 if they will last.
I'd invest in a paif of Dansko's that'll last you years. They're $110-120 dollars but worth it IMO.
I've been wearing mine for 3 years for work and they look like I bought them last week.
True.. however, if it's only the heel, etc, that is breaking and the rest of the shoe isn't showing any wear and tear then it's worth it because if you could get another 3-6 months out of them.
Try going to DSW Shoe outlet. And dont buy one pair, buy 2-3 so you can rotate them. It can even be the same exact shoe but just a different pair.
Most of my heels last me 2-3 years. I buy Nine-West, Naturalizer, Cole Haan (more expensive but VERY well made).
Ah, I guess I missed the part that they are only $30 shoes.
I only pay about $50 for shoes at DSW & have the re-capped all the time. I think I've had a lot of my shoes for 5+ years & most of them still look great!
I rotate them out & have the shoe guy spruce em up once & a while.

I wear my Danskos EVERY day. I bought them when I had an on your feet for eight hours internship and would walk a half mile to the train from home and then a half mile from the train to the internship. They are the best shoes I have EVER had. You'll want to try on lots of different shoes most likely because they're hand made and so all different. I think the first time I bought them I tried on 4 or 5 pairs of the same size before I found ones that fit right.
My first pair lasted my 5 years before I bit the bullet and bought new ones (although I can still wear them). I tell everyone to buy them!
