WTF Wed

I want to murder my office's copier/printers. They break every fcking day. I swear, one of the most helpless feelings in the world is when you're printing out all this stupid sht and the printer gets jammed and even though you try really hard to follow the on-screen "instructions" to clear the jam, while bending down so your asss sticks out in front of everyone walking behind you, you STILL end up calling out "can someone please help me with this printer??" And then you feel like such an incompetent moron because the coworker who sits near the printer, who always has to help everyone, calmly comes over and clears the jam for you, even though she has really long fake fingernails and they're probably going to get ruined digging through the printer and pulling your paper out for you. And then you have to make dumb comments like "sorry you always have to help me..." "you're so good at that, I don't why I suck so much at fixing it" while she doesn't even really acknowledge you because she is probably so annoyed by you, since she has to help you all the time. Fck those printers!!!!!

Re: WTF Wed

  • I have anxiety about my printer at work. Sometimes I might be printing something that I shouldn't and I get nervous that IF it gets jammed, I'm in trouble! LOL

  • I wasn't paying attention and drove right past starbucks this morning so no breakfast or coffee for me:( I always have it at home, the one day I was going to stop I missed it. So now I am cranky.

  • WTF is up with life. Just in general. I feel so worn out dealing with everything I don't even feel like myself lately. I'm trying so hard to figure out how to change things but have had no luck. Ugh.

  • WTF is wrong with people.  I know I'm probably overly sensitive because I have so much I'm worrying about with Kennedy.  But I'm so sick of the FB posts from my friends whining about being up with their babies, and complaining that all they want to do is eat, etc.  Some of them act like they are downright miserable.  And all of them have had kids before - so they should know what it entails.  I wish that my biggest worry was the fact that Kennedy stayed up all night wanting to eat.  In fact, I was completely thrilled the other night when she was up all night.  Exhausted - yes, but thrilled that for just one night I had a normal baby.

Sorry - rant over.   This has been getting me for days and one of my friends posts about how horrible her life is because she only slept 4 hours last night really got to me this morning.

  • Before I got sick, all my skinny clothes fit and I was feeling great! After 3 weeks of cough, flu, infection, etc, etc All my skinny clothes are too small. :((((((( I'm so very angry I let myself pig out while home sick. Ugh.
  • No judging!

How is it that the welfare system does not take into account expenses such as bills.  We applied for food stamps while DH is looking for work and were told we make too much to qualify (I don't understand, I only make 20 a year and I am the sole provider now).  It makes me so mad when there are people who really need the help and can't get it because there are people mooching the system.  I have a friend who will probably be loosing her job and her husband is going around telling everyone not to worry that they will have welfare and food stamps.  I know for a fact that he makes more money than I do and they are just 2 people.  I'm feeding a family of 3 and can only budget about $50-60 a week for groceries including milk and diapers for DD!  UGH!

Sorry, I guess this is more of a FFC.

Hide these friends FB posts, seriously. It will do wonders for your sanity! You won't even miss their little status updates, trust me. I finally convinced a friend to do this with a lot of her FB friends and she made a special point to thank me recently because she's been so much happier. I strongly believe it makes life better when you use that hide option! :p

As someone who recently instituted a lot of hiding I agree with Lauren; it's a huge boost for sanity!

  • WTF is up with the wife of one of DH's friend's.  She knows we've been TTC for over a year.  I get that she got KU'd the first time she tried with both her kids; that doesn't mean a comment like "people who say they can't get pregnant just don't understand how their bodies work, they just need to time sex" is appropriate.  I mean come on, really?!?

    Love Kendra's reply :)

Omg, can't believe that woman said that, please tell me you had some type of response for her!

  • Aegis - you need better friends. Sad

Imma have to take Lauren's advice and hide a certain friend. Look, I know we're all busy with life and whatnot and I don't really know her life or whatever, but she's always whining about her busy, stressful life. She has one kid, he's 7 and in school. She doesn't work. She has a housekeeper. Seriously? She made like three posts about her hard day yesterday because she had a doctor's appointment and a volunteer committee meeting.

I kind of feel the same way when people complain about pregnancy.  I mean, I get it, pregnancy is not always lollipops and rainbows and everyone is entitled to complain, but reading complaints kinda make me sad.  Like, I would give my right kidney to be pregnant and I would GLADLY take morning sickness and heartburn any day of the week.

But I should admit, when I was pregnant I did biitch about those things from time to time.  Perspective is everything, right?  I keep reminding myself not to take those things to heart.  But yeah, I am totally sensitive about certain comments too!

LOL!  That's different than complaining every single day that your newborn was awake and hungry at night.
