I got a Kindle this past weekend and now all I want to do is read. I've been reading a lot this year but with a Kindle now I don't want to do anything else. What are you reading now? What do you think of the book so far?

I just finished "Water for Elephants". I loved it!
I am half way through "Reading Lolita in Tehran". I am learning a lot of about Iran from the 70's and 80's. I really like it.
Next book up is "The Shipping News."
I just read Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin and Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner last week. Right now I am in the middle of Annie on My Mind by Nancy Garden.
I just got a Nook last night, so I'm like you. I'm going to download a couple library books tonight. I think Outlander and the first Pretty Little Liars (don't judge me! the show got me hooked).
For more of what I have read recently and liked see the link to my Goodreads page below.

I've been trying to start on "The Art of Racing in the Rain" for the last couple weeks, but have been exhausted in the evenings and just not into reading.
I finished "The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo" on our trip and would really like to get the next one, great book.
I also have "The Lincoln Lawyer", "Water for Elephants", and "Oogy" on my nightstand.
I can't wait until July to see the last movie! I might have to start a reread soon so I can be caught up.I reread them all last fall before seeing the movie in December.

I'm rereading Harry Potter again, for God only knows what time, I'm on #4 now.
I'm listening the The Drawing of Three, it's the 2nd book in the dark tower series by Stephen King, I'm enjoying.
I also have going but not finished on my Jackdaws, it's really good.
I'm also on the 2nd book to the parosal protectorate, I think it's Soulless, they're trashy and about vampires and werewolves (so not Twilight though) but oh so good.

How is this similar and different from Twilight?
I loved the Twilight series and I'm not ashamed to admit it. It's not the best piece of literature I've ever read, but it sucked me in hard and fast.

I'm reading three books right now but am putting a hold on one until my friend catches up.
1. Mockingjay (Hunger Games) - OK, I never thought I'd like these books. I've been rolling my eyes at it for a long time. I decided to finally give it a try and LOVE it. I don't want the story to end but at least I have the moves to look forward to. Hopefully they are better than the Twilight movies.
2. The Help - I started this awhile back but wasn't into it at all. I didn't see what the hype was about. I started reading it again this week and so far I like it.
3. The Hobbit - Again, another book I wouldn't normally read but I love LOTR movies so I decided to try reading the books. Can't wait for The Hobbit to come out. As for this book, it's written for kids and it's hard for me to get into. I am putting this one on hold because my friend wants to read it too so I am going to wait for her to finish what she's reading and start this one up again so we can discuss it as we go.

I found a site that you can download the books (epub format) then convert them into Kindle format (mobi). It's called epubbud. The converter is Calibre. I found a lot of popular books on this site for free,

Man, I feel so uneducated. I have not read a book in over a year.
I am reading a really great biography about Cleopatra. Next up I think is Water for Elephants.
Heather- I love the Red Tent
Oh, yay! We'll have to figure out how to share so we can save money on the e-books. I know both devices have a lend feature, just not sure how to work it yet.

It is decently written, I couldn't get into Twilight because it was poorly written, they're more adult and set in Victorian England. So they had a few of my fave things, trash, history and a little science.
