Re: Babycakes Cake Pop
I think you could make them w/o the little du-dad, I'll look around for ideas on HOW to actually do it, I know a CW makes them and they're awesome! I'll ask her
ETA-
This is what my CW does
they're SOOO yummy!!!
Bake 1 cake mix as directed. As soon as the cake is done take it out of the oven and scrape into a bowl. Crumble. Add 1 can of desired frosting and mix together. Scoop out into desired balls on wax paper and let sit for 4 to 6 hours.
Melt together 1 package of almond bark and 1 package of wilton candy melts in microwave or in a double broiler.
Drop the cake balls into the melted coating, make sure each cake ball is covered. Then place each one on wax paper and let set till coating has hardened
i'd try and read some reviews first.
cake pops are a BEOTCH to make in my humble opinion. i tried to make bumble bees and they looked like yellow turds.
I would not get that machine. The cake ball itself is not difficult to make (and that's essentially what this does). It's the dipping that's a royal pain in the ass
Plus, part of the reason the cake balls taste so good is because it's cake mixed with frosting. These would just be cake batter, right? I don't know if they'd be dense enough to dip.
I've made them before. They weren't hard to do, just time consuming. Here are mine.

ditto. the yummy part is the frosting mixed into the cake. The balls are easy to make, dipping is hard though (for me). Mine turned out like natalie's - delicious little turds.
Just use donut holes-it will make your life so much easier!!! (that is what Starbuck's uses!)
Ditto on the frosting being the tough part too. I ended up holding a spoon with the melted chocolate high above and drizzling and ended up with a much more "polished" look (I did this with oreo balls though, yummy!)
