I had my laparoscopy last Wednesday, and the surgeon cleaned out extensive endometriosis. Which is great, fertility-speaking, but my word I am still so tired and sore!
Today was my first day back to work and I am exhausted. My sweet students were awesome, helping me pass out papers and being super quiet, but I was just frustrated that I'm not 100% yet.
Vent over.
Re: Can I whine?
"Cleaned out" probably doesn't adequately describe the amount he had to laser out of my pelvis. But still, it's good.
I could return to work within 3-5 days. Most people I've talked to said it takes a week or more to feel normal. I guess I just want to be superwoman!
2 weeks left of school.
What a drag.
I had to have a similar (it sounds like) procedure done a few years ago, though not for fertility reasons, and I felt less than 100% for a few days even from that.
Give it some time, and take solace in the fact that you have summer vacation coming up!
