Hard Floor Cleaning

I am trying to decide what kind of vacuum/steam mop to buy for my kitchen floor and entry way.  The kitchen is ceramic tile and the entryway is laminate.  I have a dog that sheds A LOT and 2 little kiddos.  I have been using a cheap stick vacuum that has seen better days and a swiffer wet jet.  I was thinking I wanted a vac and steam product but those seem to get horrible reviews. Now I think I want a good cordless stick vacuum to use easily multiple times a day and then a steam mop for more thorough cleans.

Can you please recommend your steam mop, cordless stick vac or vac and steam?  I'm at a loss with all the options and all of the reviews out there!

 TIA

Re: Hard Floor Cleaning

  • I really like my Shark steam mop. I keep a dry reusable swiffer nearby to pick up hair as it annoys me, and I use a regular vacuum every couple of days.

  • I have a Hoover Floormate Hard floor Cleaner and I love it.  I have a house with tile and it gets the grout pretty clean, you can buy cleaner to use with wood and laminate floor and it vacuums and scrubs the floors pretty well.
