totally me whining (feel free to ignore)

Two "no's" in one day.  Can a girl get a bone tossed her way once in a while? boo.

  • Are these positions you had interviews for or just got the 'no' from your resume?

  • One was a no after an interview, and the other was a no outta the shoot.

  • I'm sorry. I know the process sucks.  Just keep on applying to everything you see. It'll happen eventually.

I'm sorry, Brit. That has to be frustrating. Keep on going, something great will come along.

  • Are you working with any head hunters or recruiters?

When we hire people we almost never post an ad, we just pull from their pool of applicants.  You might be missing out on jobs that are out there.

You know, this is an interesting concept, and one I'm not familiar with, especially with higher ed. I may look into this.

It's worth a shot. Matt got his job this way and it's a great fit.

Chris got hired this way too.

Higher Ed doesn't typically do this except for exec positions though, but there's no harm in looking. You might be able to find a college counseling job at a private school this way too.

I was going to say this - I know we used a search firm to get the new president, but for faculty and lower level positions we just post ads on the sites I already know you check.

Keep your head up.  I know you know it takes a while, just keep plugging along.  I'm still keeping my ears/eyes open for you!
