When's your last day at work?
Re: Caroline
Tomorrow!!!!
I've been training the new guy and my boss was so evil yesterday. She kept rattling on about how she thinks the conference manager isn't doing a good enough job (which she is but of course it's not good enough for her standards), and after she left she was pulling faces (right in front of the new guy) at work she had created. I'm betting she'll scare him off soon enough. Oh, and she already wants to not hire him because he smokes - yes, I needed my inhaler a lot because I was sitting right next to him and it was making me choke mixed with the cologne he was using to mask it, but you can't be discriminatory like that! Is it bad that I want to report her if she does "fire" him?
Yay for not being there anymore! I know it is scary but I really thinking you are making the right decision.
If she is not careful she will be doing everything herself, which would serve her right.
That's great! You should go out to dinner tomorrow to celebrate!!!!
Maybe she is intimidated by a man, and shes trying to find any excuse to write him off. I think your office needs a man to balance her out, and it will do her some good! Do you have to do an exit interview with her or the board? If you do it with the board, afterwards, pull someone aside and let them know of your boss' feelings towards the new employee.
