Should I buy this?

Background:  I have a decent amount of earrings and necklaces.  The earrings are in a plastic bin in my closet and the necklaces hang in my closet, but I'm getting so many that when I take one off, they all fall down.

I saw this at World Market last night and am debating getting it.

It's originally $150 but on sale for $99.  I have $20 store credit and also a $10 off coupon...so I could get it for $70 (half price).

But the only place I have to put it is kind of right when you walk in the guest room.  I don't have a great pic.  But it's go where this mirrior is (i'd have to move the mirror or get a smaller one to go above).

Essentially right when you walk in the room, it'd be on the wall on the left (where the mirror is) and stick out 10", it doesn't seem bad, but I wonder if that'd look awkward?

Re: Should I buy this?

  • From what I can tell, it seems like it would look nice there.  Do you have somewhere else you could hang that mirror so you can still use it?

  • Hannah, I love this!  I have been secretly wanting a jewelry armoire for a long time now and am just waiting to find the perfect deal.  You may have just found it.  I would MAKE room for this piece.  I think it would look lovely there.  DOOOOO IT so I can be jealous! :)

  • Sounds like a great buy to me!  I'm sure it would like good by the entry of the guest room, and I'd find another spot for the mirror to have that piece!
  • haha Brooke! I'll at least try it out for you!

Megan - the mirror (as you can kind of tell) if an awkard length.  It's 4'.  The armoire is 3'-6" high, so I'm hoping that I could just raise the mirror up on the wall before the armoire?

Otherwise, i'm not sure where I'll put it.  I'd have to post pics for help :O)  One naughty thought is that I could return it...I've had in about a month or two, it's from Target.

  • I've got one and love it! So I say Do It!!!! that's a great price to pass up!! And the spot you want to put it would be fine! just find the mirror another place on the wall to call home!!!

  • Return it if you don't have another place for it!  It's not like it's been "used"...it's just been sitting on the wall.

Haha, good to hear someone else say this too.  I'd feel a bit guilty about it and DH thinks it's horrid to do...but it's not like it's clothing or dishes that are used on a regular basis.
  • Ha!  You've already pimped Target enough this week Hannah...dontcha think? Give em a break! LOL

Do you have somewhere you could put the mirror if you turn it horizontal?

I would feel totally terrible about it, too, and probably would be too lazy to actually bring it back (even though Target is at the front of our neighborhood!).  But still.

  • Ha, true.  Actually, I should email Target support just to make sure they're aware of the issue on the returns.

I could put the mirror horizontally over the bed, maybe.  Or vertically next to the door into the room.

I'm going to need to post some pics for opinions tonight!

  • That is great deal for something like that!  I would snatch it up!  It is a lot nicer looking than a lot of the jewelry armoires that are out there too.

This is what I was thinking also.

I love the armoire and I have been looking for one also, seems like a good deal to me, so I say go for it!

  • So, from my other post, I obviously bought it.

Originally with tax it would have cost $180, but after the sale, my coupon and store credit, and tax it was $80! Yeah for a deal!!
