Sad Happenings **tissue warning**

A friend of mine from HS and his wife were expecting their first baby, due a few weeks from now. They've been married for about 5 years and have been TTC since before then.
About two weeks ago, the friend told everyone that he found out that he had several cancerous tumors growing on/in his spinal cord and would need to have surgery done soon to try and remove it. He was told that there was about a 50/50 chance that he wouldn't make it through the surgery.
They decided last week to induce the baby at 36weeks 4days so he would have the chance to meet his little boy in case he didn't make it. The baby was born happy and healthy that same day.
My friend had his surgery yesterday, but passed away shortly after they had finished due to an issue with removing the cancer from his spine.
He got to spend one happy week with his son and wife. This just goes to show how short and precious life and time really is.
I'm a sobbing mess thinking about him, his family and that sweet little boy who will never know his Daddy. I couldn't even imagine.

My god, that is so sad. So tragic. That poor family. I'm so sorry for your loss as well. Must be doubly hard for you.

So sorry for your loss, Michelle.
That is so sad. I'm so sorry Michelle, it must be so hard to lose your friend and even harder for his wife to have to go through this after just giving birth. I hope she can find her husband's spirit in her little boy and that he'll help remind her of him. T&P to you and your friend's family.
